Sharjah is a short 20-40 minute drive from Dubai depending on the district, and it's one of our most cost-effective routes. Every week we help families relocate between Dubai and Sharjah, either moving for better value apartments in Al Nahda or Al Majaz, or heading back to Dubai for a shorter commute.
Local Sharjah moves (Al Majaz to Al Khan, or Al Nahda to Al Qasimia) are often completed within a single afternoon. The tricky part of most Sharjah moves is the traffic between Sharjah and Dubai, we time departures to avoid the morning commute into Dubai and the evening return wave, which can easily add an hour each way.

The Sharjah,Dubai traffic window
Sharjah,Dubai traffic on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Al Ittihad Road is notorious. We avoid it by departing Sharjah for Dubai after 10 AM and returning after 4 PM, or departing Dubai for Sharjah before 7 AM and returning before 3 PM. If your move timing is flexible, we recommend a Thursday or Saturday, midweek traffic is the worst.

Transit from Dubai to Al Nahda or Al Majaz is 25-40 minutes in good traffic, up to 75 minutes at peak. A typical 1-bedroom Dubai-to-Sharjah apartment move completes in 6-8 hours door-to-door. Pure Sharjah-to-Sharjah moves (Al Khan to Al Majaz, for example) complete in 3-5 hours.
Most Sharjah towers do not require a formal moving permit, only a notice to the watchman at arrival. A few newer towers in Al Majaz 3 and Al Taawun have started requesting a moving form, which we handle on your behalf. Community villas in Muwaileh and Aljada usually require a security check-in at the gate.
A 1-bedroom Dubai-to-Sharjah move is typically AED 1,200-1,800 all-in. 2-bedroom apartments are AED 1,800-2,800. Villa moves start from AED 3,000 and are quoted after a short site visit. Sharjah-local moves are generally AED 600-1,500 depending on size and distance within the emirate.
Yes. Sharjah to Ajman is a 15-25 minute drive, and we run this route several times a month. Sharjah to Umm Al Quwain adds about 30 minutes. Both are priced as short cross-emirate moves and complete in a single day.
